Dr. Gerardi founded the Mid Island Allergy Group in 1982. He attended undergraduate school at St. John’s University, and received his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara. Dr. Gerardi completed a residency in Pediatrics at Nassau University Medical Center and a fellowship in Allergy-Immunology in the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Gerardi is a member of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, the New York State Allergy Society, the Nassau County Medical Society, and the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society where he served as president from 2000 to 2002. In 1994 he was elected fellow of the Nassau County Academy of Medicine. Dr. Gerardi serves as the allergist at the Developmental Disabilities Institute’s (DDI) Opti-Healthcare, a non-profit facility serving disabled children and adults. Dr. Gerardi has been recognized as an allergy and immunology specialist in the Consumers’ Guide to Top Doctors in 2004, 2005 and 2007, a non-profit peer-guided organization dedicated to helping consumers make informed decisions in the marketplace.
